Dr. Toni Evelyn, is a doctorate-prepared pediatric nurse practitioner board certified in Pediatric Primary Care. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Florida, after which she gained extensive training at Shands UF Health in pediatric hematology/oncology, pediatric specialties, and acute care. She later graduated from the University of Florida as a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in Pediatric Primary Care. She is a published author in her research on Sickle Cell Disease and continues to work on forwarding the nursing field as an active member of the American Nursing Association and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
When not at work, Dr. Toni enjoys DIY projects and renovating her farmhouse here in Ocala. She also enjoys playing music and spending time with her husband, Dr. Robert Evelyn, and their son, Joey.
Dr. Mee Ah Buckley is a doctorate prepared family health nurse practitioner with a focus in Psychiatry. Dr. Mee Ah has her Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health.
Practice Manager
Carrie Allen is a Licensed Practical Nurse who has been serving the children and families of Ocala for two decades. Carrie is a graduate of Taylor College, where she received her training in practical nursing. Her entire career has been focused on Pediatric primary care in the outpatient setting. She enjoys getting to know her patients, as well as their families and forging relationships with them. She is well-versed in all aspects of medical office management.
In her spare time, Nurse Carrie enjoys boating, traveling, and spending time with her husband Joey, and their children, Kendall, Danielle and Noah.
Therapy Director
Ms. Vonitra Taylor holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University with a concentration in organizational psychology.
For 25 years, Vonitra has supported the citizens and families of Marion County. She has eleven years of experience working with incarcerated adults and their families, seven years as a teacher, and five years as a school counselor and school intervention therapist. While working with students with significant trauma as a dean, Vonitra realized that her calling was understanding the underlying "why" behind their behavior. Her strong foundation of faith is what guided her to answer the call of a counselor. She also understands the relationship between mental health, family systems, and academic achievement.
Vonitra believes that early intervention and mental health support can break generational curses. She desires to break stigmas around mental health, especially within minority cultures. Vonitra specializes in a Solution Focused Approach and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to help individuals reach their full potential.
Outside of the office, Vonitra enjoys spending time with her children. She uses her green thumb to care for her plants and has a love for the arts to include drawing, painting, and poetry.
